It promotes education of classical Islam in the contemporary context. MQI was founded by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in October 1980. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, a professor of international law and a prominent authority on Islam has authored more than 400 published works. Dr Qadri developed his organisational network in more than 90 countries in the span of just 30 years. To date, with over a thousand educational institutions we are one of the largest non-governmental organisations in the world.
